Tin Lizzy's Cantina started in Atlanta in 2005, founded by four friends with a simple goal: tacos, tequila, and a neighborhood spot that felt like a party. The concept has since expanded to Midtown and Kennesaw, with the Downtown Atlanta location part of that original run.
The menu leans casual and loaded. Three Amigos — queso, guacamole, and salsa — comes out with house-fried chips dusted in a seasoning blend, and the Fried Lobster Tacos anchor the signature lineup. Buffalo Chicken Nachos, Buffalo Shrimp, and Chicken Tortilla Soup round out the appetizers, while the Old School Taco Salad and Cowboy Skillet Bowl carry the heavier end of the menu. The Coconut Mango Bowl with grilled shrimp and the tater-tot-and-pork Hot Mess show a kitchen willing to wander outside strict Tex-Mex lines. Made-to-order margaritas are part of the draw throughout.
The room aims for a laid-back, loud-in-a-good-way feel, built as much for groups and catering as for a quick meal at the bar.
