The Spot
Community Q BBQ sits on Clairmont Road in Decatur, run by Stuart, Liz, and Jim, who smoke everything fresh each day rather than holding over stock. The kitchen only turns leftover meat into stew and baked beans, which means the case can run thin by the end of a shift.

The menu covers the classics: pulled pork, sliced beef brisket, pulled chicken, bone-in half chicken, mild smoked sausage, and St. Louis-style ribs, plus a Redneck Chicken Salad made with smoked chicken, grapes, pecans, and dill that shows up as both a sandwich and a plate. Sides include Brunswick stew, collards, black-eyed peas with rosemary and bacon, mac and cheese, and a Kitchen Sink Salad for anyone skipping the smoker. Banana pudding and a blueberry bread pudding with ginger and pecans close out the menu.

Regulars point to the ribs and smoked meats as the strong suit, with sides drawing more mixed opinions — mac and cheese in particular splits the room. The Infatuation gave Community Q an 8.5 out of 10.
