The menu leans on homemade ingredients, and the restaurant traces back to founders Mike and Gab: Mike's sandwich nights at home and a folding-table pop-up, Gab's Sunday pasta dinners, and family recipes both trace back to Sicily by way of New York. The two met when Gab was managing Leveller Brewing and invited Mike's pop-up in for a night, which grew into the partnership behind Finest.
