Seahorse Restaurant has been feeding Pass-a-Grille since 1938, when it opened as one of the area's original drive-ins. It has stayed in the same family's hands for the last 40 years, serving breakfast and lunch in an open-air, casual room just steps from the Gulf.
The menu runs classic beach-town American: Cajun Shrimp & Cheese Grits is the most popular order, alongside Cajun Fish & Cheese Grits with spinach, a Corned Beef Hash Special, French Toast, plate-sized buttermilk pancakes, and the sausage-gravy-and-biscuits Hangover Helper. Lunch brings 8oz Angus beef burgers and other sandwich staples.
After sustaining hurricane damage in 2024, the restaurant went through a rebuild and reopened with its interior restored, continuing the same family-run service it was known for before the storm.
