Cristina Topham trained at The French Culinary Institute in New York before working at Les Olivades in Paris, The Savoy in New York, and Julia's Kitchen in Napa. She later ran a catering company in Brooklyn, then spent years cooking aboard superyachts across the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, and Mexico before settling in Sonoma in 2014. She launched Spread Kitchen as a catering business in 2016 and opened the brick-and-mortar on Highway 12 in 2022.
The menu draws on Topham's Lebanese heritage filtered through Sonoma's produce — seasonal, local ingredients built into Lebanese-inspired dishes with a California lean. Regulars point to the dips and mezze as standouts, and the cooking gets described consistently as fresh and flavorful, with service that comes up in the same breath as the food.
The space has indoor seating and a dog-friendly patio, with takeout and delivery available alongside the restaurant's original catering operation.
