Village Square Cafe traces back to 1986, when Michal and Jo Ann Scott opened the original location in Redmond with a love of breakfast and a 1940s-style diner feel. The business passed to their daughter Cari and her husband Ryan Mitchell in 2012, and the cafe grew into a small family of Puget Sound breakfast spots that share a menu while taking on the character of each neighborhood they're in.
