The Spot
Richard's Too Good BBQ Shop is run by Pitmaster Richard and Chef Lauren, who smoke ribs, beef brisket, and chicken over applewood and round the plate out with collard greens, mac and cheese, and honey cornbread. Brisket also turns up in taco form, topped with pickled onions and served alongside a citrus mango coleslaw, and the kitchen offers a gluten-free chicken and waffles plate.

The shop's house-made barbecue sauce and Smokin' House Seasoning line grew a following of their own, landing on shelves at Whole Foods Market stores across Washington and later at QFC. Richard and Lauren also run an active catering operation, having served the Seattle Seahawks, the Seattle Kraken front office, and Seattle Public Health, along with wineries and breweries around the region.

Regulars point to the couple's hospitality as much as the smoked meats, and repeat visits and word of mouth have built the place a local following. It's been covered by Seattle Refined and reviewed by The Infatuation.
