Telefèric Barcelona started in 1992 in Sant Cugat, Spain, and has grown into a family-owned restaurant group with locations across California and Arizona, including this one in South Scottsdale. The Padrosa family, known for their work with pintxos, built the concept alongside a team of Spanish chefs, aiming to recreate the feel of a Barcelona tapas bar.
The menu runs through Spanish tapas and house specialties: patatas bravas with house aioli, crab croquetas, tuna tacos, an Iberian oyster pairing ibérico shoulder with fresh oyster, Galician pulpo with smoked paprika, wagyu and chicken empanadas, pan con tomate, crispy Brussels sprouts with romesco, and ham croquetas made from a Padrosa family recipe.
The wine list draws on more than 100 Spanish references selected by Catalonian sommeliers, and the room is built out with traditional Mediterranean materials brought from Spain. The restaurant also runs a weekday Social Hour with a communal toast, Flamenco nights, and a tableside Paella Fiesta for group celebrations.
