Rehab Burger Therapy opened in Old Town Scottsdale on May 29, 2012, founded by Denise, Ken, and Wiley, three friends who'd spent 18 years growing a pizza restaurant from a single mom-and-pop shop into eight locations before deciding they missed running something smaller and more personal. The name came out of a backyard BBQ in the summer of 2011, where good food, music, and friends got joked about as their own kind of therapy — the phrase stuck.
The menu runs on burgers, with a peanut butter and jelly burger drawing particular attention from regulars, alongside sides like sweet potato tots, onion rings, and wings. Portions run large, and the room carries a laid-back, come-as-you-are energy.
It's become a fixture of Old Town Scottsdale's casual dining scene, known for its food quality and friends-first atmosphere, though service can be inconsistent from visit to visit.
