The Spot
Ukiyo occupies a spot on Bull Street in Savannah's Starland District, running a menu that covers far more ground than a typical sushi house. Nigiri and sashimi — akami, chutoro, otoro, hamachi, walu — sit alongside a full ramen program that includes tonkotsu, a miso-based chicken ramen, a coconut curry tofu yasai version, and a butabara kimchi ramen loaded with pork belly and tamari chicken.

The sushi side leans into house-designed rolls rather than a strictly traditional format: the Kamikaze pairs yellowfin and yellowtail with tenkasu and serrano, the Kanibōzu Maki stacks spicy tuna with shrimp tempura and seared snow crab, and the Crispy Spicy Tuna is built on crispy rice with a wasabi reduction. Composed plates round things out, including miso grilled black cod, okonomiyaki, and a 12-ounce bone-in pork katsu, alongside steamed buns, hand rolls, and a bento box lineup for lunch.
