Our Take

Caruso's puts a Michelin-starred kitchen directly on the sand line — the Rosewood Miramar's dining room faces the Pacific, and the seasonal coastal Italian menu is written to the view without hiding behind it.

Resort dining at this tier usually charges for the sunset and coasts on the kitchen. Caruso's inverts the ratio: the cooking would hold in a windowless room, and the fact that it comes with the ocean is Montecito's luck.

The Spot
Caruso's sits inside the Rosewood Miramar Beach resort, its dining room facing the Pacific along the Santa Barbara coastline. The kitchen builds seasonal menus around fresh, local ingredients, paired with a wine list and a program of signature cocktails.

In warmer months, the Caruso's team also runs FronteMare, a live coastal cooking experience prepared along the shoreline with guests gathered around a communal table.

Regulars point to attentive service, ocean views, and creative plating as reasons Caruso's has become a go-to for special occasions. Michelin awarded the restaurant one star in its 2026 guide.
