Long Bridge Pizza Co. was started by Neal DeNardi and Andrew Markoulis, two childhood friends and Bay Area natives, as a neighborhood pizzeria in Dogpatch. The base of the menu is thin-crust sourdough pizza, made with dough that's naturally leavened using organic flour — the crust comes out with a snap rather than a chew, and the sourdough tang reads as its own note alongside the toppings.
Thursdays bring Detroit-style square pies baked in a mozzarella-and-cheddar blend that crisps at the edges, and on Wednesdays the sandwich menu runs all day instead of its usual limited window. A rotating beer list includes offerings from Russian River Brewing and other local breweries.
The space is counter-service and casual, spread across three dining rooms with large TVs usually tuned to a game — the kind of spot built for lingering over a pie and a pint rather than rushing through it.
