Her Place Supper Club occupies a small, intimate dining room on Sansom Street in Rittenhouse, part of the Libbie Loup Hospitality group founded by Amanda Shulman and Alex Kemp in 2022, which also runs My Loup and Pine Street Grill. The restaurant serves a single multi-course, fixed-price tasting menu built around French cooking.
The concept began with dinner parties the chef threw out of her own apartment in New York, where word of mouth brought strangers to the table. In 2021 she brought the idea to Philadelphia, starting as a pop-up before it grew into a permanent restaurant in Rittenhouse.
The James Beard Foundation has recognized the kitchen repeatedly: an Emerging Chef semifinalist nod in 2022 followed by a finalist nod in 2023, then a move into Best Chef: Mid-Atlantic consideration as both semifinalist and finalist in 2025 and again in 2026. Michelin awarded the restaurant one star in 2025.
Eater included Her Place on its list of the city's essential restaurants, and Philadelphia Magazine named it to a 2025 best-of list. Regulars describe a seasonal, rotating menu served in a cozy room, with consistently exceptional service.
