The Spot
Gino's Pizza Cafe has been a fixture in Mayfair and Northeast Philadelphia since 1987, when the same family that still runs it opened a small neighborhood pizzeria built around fresh ingredients and friendly service. Twelve years in, they expanded into a full pizzeria, restaurant, and bar, adding homemade Italian dishes like veal scallopini, chicken marsala, penne vodka, and linguine pescatore alongside the pizza and strombolis.

The menu has grown wide over the decades, covering hoagies, oven-baked pastas, and shareable mains like veal piccata alongside the pizza it started with. Inside, wood booths and a long tavern-style bar give the room an old-fashioned, throwback feel.

The tomato pie stands out among regulars, and the room has built a following for its hospitality and reasonable prices, drawing families and neighborhood regulars alike.
