The Spot
Maïs Arepas serves Colombian food from a spot on Carondelet Street in Central City. The menu runs through arepas, ceviche, chorizo, plantains, empanadas, and a bandeja paisa built around skirt steak, with yucca fries and pulled pork also in rotation. The kitchen operates gluten-free, letting dietary restrictions sit alongside the rest of the menu rather than off to the side.

Desserts lean into tres leches and flan, and the bar makes a cinnamon-spiced sangria alongside pineapple cilantro margaritas and mint mojitos.

Maïs Arepas has been named to Eater's essential 38 list and included in NOLA.com's Where NOLA Eats best-of guide for 2025.
