Bounty Hunter operates out of the historic 1880 Semorile building on First Street in downtown Napa, combining three businesses under one roof: a retail wine and spirits shop, a wine bar, and a barbecue smokehouse. The shelves hold over 400 highly allocated wines, with 25 poured by the glass, plus a growing lineup of more than 40 American whiskeys available by the glass or bottle.
The kitchen smokes ribs, brisket, and pulled pork, plated on the restaurant's signature slate boards. The retail side has spent three decades sourcing bottles from established estates and emerging producers across Italy, New Zealand, and the surrounding Napa Valley.
Regulars point to the combination as the draw — barbecue that's harder to find in Napa Valley paired with a wine selection that outpaces most restaurants in town, set inside a room with real historic character. Napa Valley Life magazine named Bounty Hunter to its 2025 city best list.
