XO Brasserie opened in March 2024 in Charleston's Nomo neighborhood, the work of Herman Ng, who wanted a Chinese restaurant that carried itself with the same weight as the city's French or Italian rooms. The menu pairs Cantonese and Sichuan cooking, built around house-made dumplings and wok-fried dishes made with fresh ingredients.
