Our Take

Krasi plays Greek wine bar as full immersion rather than side gig, and it has the confidence to let the room do a lot of work. The tzatziki gets mixed tableside, the agginaropita arrives as the pie everyone should order, and the giouvetsi — lamb braised with orzo and tomato — is the kind of dish that justifies the whole trip on its own. Nothing here is trying to be humble.

The Greek wine list is the real spine of the place, deep enough to intimidate and staffed by bartenders who clearly want to walk you through it rather than hand you a bottle and move on. That generosity of guidance matters more than any single dish, because it turns an unfamiliar category into an easy, confident night.

Nearly six years running, the kitchen hasn't gotten lazy and the room hasn't lost its charge — a rare combination this far into a restaurant's life. This is where you bring people you want to impress, order freely, and let the staff drive. It delivers.

The Spot
Krasi bills itself as a wine bar first, built around regional Greek meze with a modern edge. The space sits in Back Bay, serving fresh breads, cured meats, and small plates meant for sharing over wine rather than a full sit-down meal.

The menu runs through tzatziki mixed tableside, a cheesy savory pie called agginaropita, and giouvetsi — braised lamb stewed with plump orzo and tomatoes. The wine list is entirely Greek, handpicked to showcase the country's range of varietals, and the staff lean into guiding newcomers through it rather than assuming familiarity. Wine director Jeremiah leads Symposium Wednesdays, a weekly deep dive into Greek wine with rotating guests.

The restaurant's chef was a James Beard Best Chef: Northeast finalist in 2023.
