Jafra is a family-owned Palestinian restaurant in Cambridge's Inman Square, built around a halal kitchen and a menu of Levantine mezze and fire-grilled mains meant for sharing. Appetizers include hummus finished with sumac and olive oil, smoky baba ghanoush, golden falafel with house-made tahini, musakhan rolls of sumac-spiced pulled chicken in saj bread, and shakshouka with eggs poached in spiced tomato sauce.
Mains center on the kitchen's kufta b'siniya, oven-baked beef and lamb served either in tomato sauce with jalapeños or in tahini sauce with lemon and potatoes, alongside a flame-grilled beef and lamb kebob and a slow-roasted beef and lamb shawarma combo. The kitchen also makes its own muhammara and desserts in-house.
Beyond the food, Jafra runs a coffee and tea bar — espresso, matcha, and Moroccan tea — and extends into a string-lit patio for evening seating.
