Gustazo takes its name from the Spanish word for treating someone to something special. The Cambridge location sits two blocks from Porter Square, its dining room built around nods to Spanish colonial architecture, 1950s Havana style, and Cuban modern art.
The kitchen works from modern interpretations of classic Cuban dishes, prepared daily with the best available ingredients. Alongside its regular dinner menu, the restaurant runs a weekend brunch service.
The restaurant's chef was a James Beard Best Chef semifinalist in 2022 and a James Beard Best Chef (Northeast) semifinalist in 2024. The restaurant has also drawn attention within Boston's dining scene more broadly.
