SAW's Juke Joint is the Crestline Park link in the SAW's BBQ chain, opened by Mike Wilson alongside Doug Smith and Taylor Hicks after the original Homewood location took off as Wilson's backyard smoking hobby turned restaurant.
The menu runs on Carolina-style smoked pulled pork, chicken, and ribs, served with a choice of three house sauces — Alabama white sauce among them, a signature here. Sides include baked potatoes, beans, deviled eggs, mac and cheese, cole slaw, and banana pudding, the last of which has developed a following of its own. Smoked wings also draw regulars in.
