The Spot
Nabiha shares its U Street NW space with El Secreto de Rosita, a Peruvian restaurant, giving the address two distinct identities depending on the hour. Founder Nesrin Abaza — who signs her own name "bint Nabiha," daughter of Nabiha — built the restaurant around recipes passed down through generations of Palestinian grandmothers.

By day, it operates as a cafe: coffee, eggs, and Middle Eastern pastries like mabroushe and orange cake, in a room meant for lingering. Come evening, the space turns into a Palestinian restaurant serving mezze, with kunafa standing out on the dessert menu.

Regulars describe it as a family-run spot where the cooking comes with real cultural weight behind it — as much about the stories and traditions as the plates themselves.
