Predalina works because it doesn't oversell the pitch. Mediterranean food in Downtown Tampa, cooked with the kind of care that reads as authentic rather than performed, served in a room that people keep coming back to. The atmosphere and the service both land — this isn't a place coasting on location.

The complaints are real and worth naming. Portions run small, and the prices don't always match what lands on the plate. That tension shows up often enough to matter, and it keeps this from being an unqualified rave. But it doesn't undercut the core of the thing: when the kitchen is working, it's genuinely good food, and enough people leave feeling like they got something worth the trip that the pattern holds.

Three consecutive years of Michelin selection isn't nothing, especially in a city where that recognition is still rare. It confirms what the room already tells you — this is a serious kitchen, not a lucky one. Go for the food. Just don't expect the portions to match the ambition.
