The Spot
Habesha Cafe serves both Ethiopian and Eritrean cooking from a family-run kitchen in Rainier Valley. The meat side covers traditional slow-simmered dishes across beef, chicken, lamb, and fish, including doro wot, the berbere-seasoned chicken dish served with a boiled egg and ayib cheese.

The vegan menu is where the place distinguishes itself, with a wide range of lentil and vegetable stews alongside a house-made plant-based "beef," including a tibs preparation available spicy or mild. A vegan combo platter brings several of these dishes together with injera and a house salad.

Habesha Cafe also roasts its own coffee, keeps a small selection of desserts like lemon cake, and runs a connected market and catering operation.
