Wexford takes its name from County Wexford, Ireland, the region from which more than half of Georgia's Irish immigrants sailed during the mid-1800s famine era. Much of the pub's interior was crafted and shipped over from Ireland, then assembled on site at 27 Barnard St. in Savannah's City Market.
Co-owner Jennifer Strickland helped shape the menu after a ten-day eating tour of Ireland, then spent 18 months developing it further with chefs Jason Cummings and Dustin Hambrick. The result is a mix of shareables, handhelds, and specialties, including fish and chips and shepherd's pie.
The pub hosts live Irish music with a courtyard space built for it, and was named among Savannah Magazine's 2025 city readers' picks.
