The Collins Quarter

The Collins Quarter brought Australian cafe culture to the Historic District and never watered it down. The lavender lattes and flat whites aren't gimmicks — they're the point, and the food backs them up: smashed avocado toast with beet hummus, shakshouka, shrimp and grits that earn a spot on the same table as brunch standards twice their price.

The downtown room does real work here. Flowers on every table, light pouring in, sidewalk seats that turn people-watching into part of the meal. The Forsyth Park location has more space, but the original holds the personality — it's the version worth seeking out.

Local coverage has kept circling back to this place for good reason, and it's landed on national radar too. That's not the case for it. The case is a menu that treats brunch as a craft rather than a formula, in a room built to make you linger. Order the flat white, get the shakshouka, and don't rush it.
