Clary's Cafe started life as a drugstore before turning into one of Savannah's long-running breakfast and lunch spots. The decor tells the story on its own: family photos, paintings, and knickknacks accumulated over the years give the room a look shaped by generations of regulars as much as by the people running it.
The menu is homemade breakfast served all day. The Elvis — thick-cut French toast stuffed with peanut butter and bananas — is the dish the restaurant is known for, alongside buttermilk pancakes, corned beef hash, country sausage gravy over biscuits, and homemade crab cakes. Omelettes, including a Greek version with spinach, tomato, and feta, and a rotating lunch lineup round things out.
Outside seating and a dog-friendly patio (treats and water for canine visitors) have made Clary's a draw beyond the breakfast rush, and it was named a readers' pick in Savannah Magazine's 2025 city guide.
