The Spot
Zama sits at 467 Fifth Ave in the Gaslamp Quarter, built around an Amazon jungle concept: a fully custom-designed space with 20-foot ceilings, natural wood and stone, copper finishes, and design pieces meant to evoke the rainforest. The menu moves between Latin American and Japanese traditions, drawing on the flavors of Peru, Mexico, and Japan.

Sushi comes from Chef Takuya Kudo, who has cooked at Nobu and Lumi before joining Zama. Executive Chef Jovani Palacious leads the kitchen's Latin American dishes, working across traditional recipes from the region.

The room's decor and atmosphere are a defining part of the experience, with the jungle theming carried through the dining room and bar and lounge areas.
