Big Jim's Roast Beef brings New England-style roast beef subs to Cass Street in Pacific Beach, a few minutes from Mission Bay and Crystal Pier. Chef James "Big Jim" Jones founded the shop after relocating from New England to Southern California, building the menu around top round that's slow-roasted in-house and sandwiches made fresh daily.
The roast beef subs come in three sizes — Junior Beef, Super Beef, and Super Duper Beef — each built from slow-roasted beef, James River BBQ sauce, mayo, and white American cheese, with the larger versions served on a caramelized onion bun.
