The Spot
Cielito Mexican Kitchen draws its menu from the culinary traditions of Michoacán, Mexico, with hand-pressed tortillas, moles, and farm-sourced ingredients built into the cooking. The signature Tuxpan mole rojo is made with free-range chicken, and the menu runs through dishes like corundas (corn tamale wrapped in banana leaf with tomato salsa, cotija, and crema), esquites, and consome, alongside a bar list of tequila, mezcal, and cocktails.

Rhode Island Monthly included Cielito on its Best of 2025 list. The room draws consistent praise for its food, service, and atmosphere, with many describing the cooking as authentic — though the reception isn't universal. Alongside that enthusiasm, some regulars have flagged small portions relative to price, inconsistency from the kitchen, watery salsas and drinks, and seating issues in an otherwise attractive space.
