Hoda's has been serving Lebanese food out of its Belmont Street storefront in Sunnyside since 1999. Owner Hoda is a second-generation Portland restaurateur who grew up in Beirut, and the menu reflects that upbringing translated through farm-to-table sourcing, alongside a full bar.
The kitchen sources its meat and produce from a roster of regional farms — Carman Ranch and Lonely Lane Farm for grass-fed beef, Crescent Farm and Draper Valley for chicken, and produce from Springhill Organic Farm, Dennison Farm, Groundworks Organic, and others — built into a Mediterranean and Lebanese menu.
Beyond the dining room, Hoda's runs a catering arm with more than 10,000 events booked since opening, and Hoda and Hani have taken on ownership of Cape Horn Estate as a wedding and event venue.
Regulars keep returning for the chicken shawarma, za'atar, fresh-baked pita, and baklava.
