The Spot
Heng Seng is a family-owned restaurant that has served Cambodian comfort food on 7th Street since 1989, in the stretch of South Philadelphia known as Cambodia Town. It's owned and operated by a Cambodian-Teochew family, and over three decades it has become a fixture within the neighborhood's Southeast Asian community.

The noodle soups are the draw here, with regulars — often multiple generations of the same families — returning for the same bowls they've been eating for years. The room is no-frills, the operation is straightforwardly mom-and-pop, and the kitchen has kept its quality consistent across dine-in and take-out service.
