The Spot
Que Viet Village House has been serving Vietnamese food out of Windom Park since 1980, run as a family operation from the start. The chef grew up in the kitchen, learning recipes from her mother by watching rather than measuring — cooking passed down the way it was done at home.

The signature item is the MN State Fair Egg Roll, the dish the restaurant built its name on and still centers its menu around. It's a neighborhood spot in the fullest sense: casual, unfussy, and focused on doing a small set of dishes the way they've always been done.
