The Spot
Yoso Sushi began as a food truck in Miami's Design District before settling into a six-seat counter in Upper Buena Vista. The intimate format puts diners close to the chefs working the menu, built around sustainably sourced fish and a mix of traditional and composed dishes.

Chef de cuisine and co-owner Deniz Aktug worked in Lyon, France before moving to Miami to focus on Japanese fine dining; she also works as a private chef outside the restaurant. Sushi chef Khristian Lara, born in Venezuela, trained in fine dining sushi restaurants in the United States.

The menu runs from starters like crispy rice and homemade beef dumplings through nigiri and sashimi sets — the Chef Selection of Six and the Yoso Tasting for Two among them — to handrolls like spicy tuna and maki including the house Yoso Roll.
