Jama Benn Jama is a casual Cuban restaurant in Hialeah built around open-air, outdoor dining. The name carries a tribute to Benni, a pet pig its founders brought along on a makeshift raft journey from Cuba to Miami decades ago — a story now woven into the restaurant's identity and into its signature dish, called simply 'Jama.'
The space doubles as a tribute to Cuban culture: a life-size figure of Celia Cruz greets guests near shaded benches lined with caricatures of famous Cubans, beneath a sprawling mural depicting political figures. Grilled and smoked meats anchor the menu — chicharrones served in thick pieces, ribs, and a half chicken with a light smokiness — alongside the restaurant's well-known Cuban sandwich. Classic Cuban comedy plays in the background as guests eat.
Beyond the dining room, Jama Benn Jama offers catering and a private party space for larger gatherings, along with dine-in and delivery service.
