Porch Kitchen & Bar takes its name from the American porch itself — the idea of a shared space that pulls a neighborhood together over food and conversation. In downtown Louisville, at Jefferson and 3rd, that translates into a comfort-food menu with Southern flair, built from local ingredients and running from breakfast through dinner, with weekend brunch drawing a steady crowd.
Executive Chef Shawn Broadway's kitchen turns out dishes that reviewers keep coming back to: fried chicken, monkey bread, hush puppies, brussels sprouts, a burger and fries, hummus, brisket, and wings. Bourbon shows up on the dessert side too, in a butter cake built around Stonestreet Bourbon.
For private gatherings, the restaurant opens The Back Porch, an adjoining space for social events and celebrations.
