Pho Lucky opened in Redford on August 30, 2012, owned and operated by Cong Nguyen and Tommy Hoang. The Woodward Avenue location in Cass Corridor is one of several the pair has since opened around metro Detroit, alongside spots in Novi and Livonia.
The menu is built around pho — rice noodles in a beef broth, served with Asian basil, cilantro, chopped scallion, lime, and bean sprouts that diners add themselves at the table. Vegetarian options are also on offer for those skipping the beef broth entirely.
The approach favors affordability and volume over formality, positioning itself as an accessible, everyday spot for Vietnamese noodle soup rather than a destination restaurant.
