Jonathon's Forestwood carries on a Dallas breakfast-and-lunch tradition that started in May 2011 in a small greenhouse space on Beckley Avenue in Oak Cliff. An unforeseen rent increase forced that original location to close in August 2021, and after a lengthy renovation of an older North Dallas building, Jonathon's reopened on Forest Lane in September 2023.
The move changed the neighborhood but not the approach: the restaurant serves the same classics that built its following in Oak Cliff, in a full-service, casual format geared toward morning and midday dining.
