The Spot
Pizza A Modo Mio started as a food truck helmed by Mike and Julie before growing into a brick-oven pizzeria. The dough still ships in from New York twice weekly, and once a batch runs out, the pizza menu shuts down for the day rather than serve something else.

The menu covers seven pizza styles — including Grandma, White, Buffalo & BBQ chicken, Hot Roti, Meat Lovers, and the Mio Trio — sold whole or by the slice, alongside garlic knots, heroes, salads, and Italian ice. New York bagels make regular appearances, and the Traditional Naples Pizza follows a recipe attributed to Naples pizzaiolo Enzo Coccia. For the ambitious, there's a food-eating challenge built around a 2-foot stromboli loaded with slices of the house pizza styles and served with homemade marinara.

Charleston City Paper named Pizza A Modo Mio among the city's best in its 2026 rankings.
