The Spot
Montana Ale Works occupies the old Northern Pacific freight building in downtown Bozeman, a large industrial space turned into a bar-and-restaurant gathering spot. The kitchen builds its menu from locally sourced ingredients, handmade from scratch daily.

Stuffed tater tots, bison pot stickers, fish tacos, meatloaf, and the Monarch Elk Burger show up regularly among what regulars order, alongside dishes like the Kale Caesar and Peanut Thai Chicken Lettuce Wraps.

The bar backs up the kitchen with more than 40 Montana and regional craft beers on tap, plus a full-service bar pouring Montana-made spirits and specialty cocktails.

Ale Works has also built a reputation as a community fixture, regularly hosting fundraisers and charity events for local organizations. Bozeman Best-Of city magazine named it a 2025 best in its annual awards.
