The Spot
Salam's Grill operates out of a truck stationed at Vacancy Brewing in South Austin. Chef Amr Hammad grew up around his family's restaurant, Peace Bakery, where he first got interested in cooking, and later trained at the Culinary Institute of America before bringing the truck to his hometown.

Regulars point to the shawarma and falafel as standouts, with talk of fresh ingredients, generous portions, and a small, friendly crew behind the window. The truck has also drawn coverage from The Infatuation.
