The Spot
DEE DEE — "Good Good" — is a family project built by Lakana Sopajan-Trubiana, her husband Justin, and their dog Mango. Lakana was raised in Roi-Et, in Thailand's Isaan region near the Laos border, where her family farmed rice and vegetables and she learned to cook alongside her mother and great-grandmother before school each morning.

That upbringing shapes the menu: countryside Northeastern Thai dishes prepared the way Lakana learned them on her family's farm. Pad kapow has become the dish regulars order first, and the kitchen also handles vegan and gluten-free requests.

DEE DEE now operates out of Leona Botanical Cafe & Bar on Brodie Lane, serving lunch and dinner in that setting.
