The Spot
Taste of Yemen opened as the first Yemeni restaurant in Washington state, built by chef Emad, who brings over 17 years of culinary experience to the kitchen. The lamb is sourced directly from a farm in Oregon, aged 7 to 11 months, and everything is prepared under a Zabiha halal standard.

The menu centers on Yemeni staples: Lamb Haneeth, Chicken Mandi, and Lamb Fahsa, a shredded lamb stew served bubbling in a hot stone bowl. Lamb hummus rounds out the appetizers.

The dining room mixes traditional Yemeni touches — Arabic decor, communal tables — with a cozy, casual setup, serving Kent and the greater Seattle area.
