Good Voyage

Good Voyage earns its keep by being three restaurants in one room, and doing it without seams. Morning light, strong coffee, and a breakfast sandwich carrying hot honey make it worth the trip before noon. By mid-afternoon the martinis come out and the enclosed patio fills with people not in a hurry to leave. By night the candles are lit, the music drops to a hush, and it reads as a French bistro, regulars parked at the bar or folded into the corner booth.

The dinner menu is the weak link. The larger entrees don't hold up as consistently as everything built around coffee and cocktails, and the frites run too salty too often. But the wine list, helped by sitting near Left Bank, is genuinely well-rounded, and the cheese plate is a real fallback rather than a placeholder.

Seattle Met has flagged it, and it's landed on national radar too. The recognition tracks: this is a neighborhood cafe doing the rare thing of being right at every hour, even if the kitchen occasionally trips over its own ambition after dark.
