East African Imports pairs a working spice shop with a sit-down Ethiopian restaurant inside the Promenade 23 shopping center at 23rd and Jackson. Owner Berhane Amanuel emigrated from Ethiopia in 1987 and built the business from there, later moving the operation to the north side of the same intersection.
