The Spot
Cafe Lalibela has been family-owned and operated for more than two decades, serving Ethiopian cuisine out of a casual restaurant-and-retail setting. Alongside the food, the space roasts its own ethically sourced coffee, freshly brewed for guests or sold by the bag to take home.

The menu runs through Ethiopian staples: Doro Wat, a berbere-spiced chicken stew; Lamb Tibs, pan-fried lamb cubes; and Kitfo, minced beef served slightly cooked with homemade cheese. The Injera Roll wraps collard greens, mitmita, and homemade cheese into a smaller starter, and the Chef's Favorite platter combines several dishes onto one plate.

Phoenix New Times named Cafe Lalibela to its Best of Phoenix list in 2025.
