Santacafé occupies a restored house on Washington Avenue built in the 1850s, a few blocks from the Santa Fe Plaza. Since opening in 1983, it has built its identity on the pairing of old-world elegance with contemporary American cooking and locally sourced ingredients.
Santa Fe restaurateur Quinn Stephenson, who also runs Coyote Café, bought Santacafé in 2019.
The menu has included dishes like house cured salmon, dumplings, calamari, pasta bolognese, lamb loin, caviar, and a green chile cheeseburger, with a lemon cake that keeps regulars coming back.
The courtyard patio, shaded by an apricot tree, is one of the restaurant's defining features, drawing diners through both summer and winter. A private dining room is available for events of up to 20 guests.
