The Spot
Jambo Bobcat Bite is chef Ahmed Obo's second restaurant, an extension of his long-running Jambo Café into a new space in Cañada de los Alamos. Obo grew up in Lamu, off the coast of Kenya, and learned to cook alongside his mother, Halima. He started his Santa Fe career at Zia Diner before opening Jambo Café in 2009.

The menu leans on New Mexican and American diner staples — green chile cheeseburgers, fish and chips, shrimp tacos, eggs benedict, French toast — run through the same fragrant, tangy, fruit-touched African and Caribbean approach that defines Jambo Café. Breakfast runs all day alongside lunch, served on the patio or in a newly renovated dining room.

The spot has built a following as a hidden-gem, off-the-beaten-path stop, and it landed on Santa Fe Reporter's Best of 2025 list.
