Cafecito is the coffee house and restaurant at the Trailhead Compound, a family-owned spot that blends its owners' Argentine, Armenian, and Italian heritage into one menu. Breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner service run through the same space, built around locally sourced ingredients.
The menu centers on different styles of empanadas served with chimichurri sauce, alongside other dishes drawn from all three culinary traditions. Coffee is poured in Buenos Aires style, and mate, the traditional Argentine tea, is also on offer.
The building itself is part of the Trailhead Compound, an adaptive reuse project at the edge of downtown Santa Fe in the Baca Railyard, with a dining space that opens onto surrounding gardens. Cafecito functions as a neighborhood gathering spot within that setting.
