Alkemē is a Vietnamese heritage kitchen in Santa Fe from chef-owner Hue-Chan, built around the idea of cuisine as something carried forward through people, memory, and place rather than fixed to one region.
The menu rotates between tasting formats — meat-forward, pescatarian, and vegetarian/vegan — alongside a full à la carte menu, with seasonal specials like a Chinese New Year tasting menu appearing throughout the year.
Twice a month, on the first and third Thursdays, the restaurant hosts the Velvet Lantern Social, a communal dining night with shared tables and food built for the table.
Alkemē was named a semifinalist for the James Beard Foundation's Best New Restaurant award in 2024, and was included in Santa Fe Reporter's 2025 best-of city list.
